Charging Pillars for e‑bikes

The rapid growth of the number of people with an electrical bicycle has also changed the requirements for bicycle parking locations. Particularly near residential locations, people need to charge their bicycles overnight.

In 2023, it is no longer enough to offer good and safe parking facilities for bicycles.

Being able to provide charging facilities has become
a must for many bicycle parking locations.

To solve this problem, Bike Parking 2.0 now comes with the Charging Pillar. With the new Charging Pillar, you are now able to offer an integrated solution for e-bikes that require charging while at the same time remaining able to park more bicycles than with any other bicycle parking system.

Lifting Pillars: now 3 types

Our Lifting Pillars are therefore now available in 3 configurations:

  1. The standard Lifting Pillar (for bicycles between 14 and 22 kg)
  2. The heavy-duty Lifting Pillar (for heavy bikes from 22 to 30 kg)
  3. The Charging Pillar (a heavy-duty Lifting Pillar with an integrated e-charging connector)

The Charging Pillar has the same dimensions as our other patented Lifting Pillars therefore you can even replace existing Lifting Pillars with a Charging Pillar. During installation, the only change is the protecting cable tray that is placed behind the Charging Pillars through which the main electricity cable is guided to the individual Charging Pillars.

Electricity connectors

Because different e-bikes might make use of different types of charging systems, we recommend using the standard electricity socket (110-220 volts) that is used in your country. That way each cyclist can simply plug in their own charging system and you offer charges for all types of e-bikes.

If you wish, sockets can also be provided for 12-volt or 24-volt connectors. This is particularly handy in situations where all the e-bikes use the same charging voltage and the same connectors. This is often the case at rental locations for e-bikes.

Easy colour indication

Many locations will offer cyclists multiple types of Lifting Pillars. For normal bikes, for heavy bikes and/or the Charging Pillars for e-bikes.

To make it easy for cyclists to differentiate between the 3 styles, the head of the pillar, as well as the handle of the rack, of each style of Lifting Pillar have their own colour.

1) Yellow: standard Lifting Pillars
(14-22kg)
2) Black: heavy-duty Lifting Pillar
(22-30kg)
3) Green: Charging Pillar
(22-30kg + electricity connector)
